Evening Thought: The Secret of the Secret Place
I cannot get my thoughts off the message the Lord gave me on Sunday, July 19th. The full message is recorded on our church website. With the help of AI, I was able to create an image that summarizes the major points of the message and how the prayer from the altar of incense opens the way into the Holy of Holies.
The Holy of Holies was God’s visible image of the “Secret Place” where the Presence of God is manifested in our lives. The tabernacle beautifully describes the process for all, and this message is for another time. Over four years ago, on January 14, 2022, I was meditating on the beautiful message of the Tabernacle. I heard the Lord say, “There is great meaning in the components of the Altar of Incense.” I learned from my research that these components symbolize the attitude that makes our prayers a fragrant aroma unto God. These prayer components are required to open up the way into the secret place. I continued to hear. “These prayers are not worldly, soulish, manufactured prayer but prayer that communes with Me. Hearing My Heart! Anticipating My Voice! Smelling My Breath! This is the Prayer. The place of communication…not you begging Me. It is the place of transaction. It is the place where heaven and earth collide. This is the Altar of the Holy of Holies.”
Hebrews 9:4 tells us what we can and should expect when the manifested Presence of God is revealed. It was depicted within the ark that contained the golden jar of manna, Aaron’s budding rod, and the stone tablets of the commandments given to Moses. Within His Presence is His divine provision, His divine favor, and His unfailing covenant.
