Lessons From the New Season

I’m loving the lessons of the new season. What have I learned so far?
First, just because someone does not go into the new season with you does not make them a bad person. God either has something else for them or they would be a hindrance to you. Bless them!
Second, don’t be afraid to get out of God’s way. Nothing you do for God’s kingdom is about you anyway. Always steward well the assignment with the awareness that God is in charge.
Third, understand you have never been this way before. If you had already been there, you would not be in a new season. Take what you have learned from the past season, but don’t let it dictate what you do in the new one.
Fourth, don’t avoid the new season because of the pains of the old season. If we do, the lessons were in vain. The previous is preparation for the new that is coming. Remember you can be appointed and anointed and still not complete your assignment.
Fifth, not every distraction is a new call. Discern what God is doing versus the plots of the enemy to abort God’s original plan for you. The devil offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world without the cross. Jesus chose the cross…God’s original plan. Dollars and material success are not a sign that God is in it. Success in God’s Kingdom is measured by faithfulness!
Sixth, pay close attention because God will speak in many ways. Dreams and moments of seeming interruption may be God’s mile markers on the journey. These are critically important in the new season. Be still! Hear! Stay close to God! Don’t wait on another person to move you forward. God speaks to you and then confirms it with others. And just because you have a thought does not mean God said it. You must know the difference or you will take a wrong turn.
Seventh and last, keep a clear heart or communication with God will get hazy. A clean heart keeps us on the right frequency with Him. Confess and repent and keep moving forward. This may be the hardest lesson of all, but the most critical. Being hard is not a reason to quit!
