Prayer and Fasting Day 24
In prayer tonight I heard ” you don’t accomplish your purpose, you find it. Your purpose is not what you do but who you are and the doing will then become the fruit of your being.”
Many live all of their lives accomplishing great tasks but they never find their purpose. When we find our purpose, every thought and every desire will submit to the purpose we carry. It was with us in our mother’s womb and it is the center of every cell of our being. To live in our purpose does not tire us out, rather we are energized by it.
It is who we are and no level of accomplishment outside of our purpose will bring true satisfaction. It cannot be measured by material scales but only when we hear ” well done, good and faithful servant”. When we find our purpose, no one can dissuade us from staying on course. No one else’s opinion matters. When we are living our purpose, no one can tell us it can’t be done. “We can take this!” becomes our motto because the price for not living our purpose is too great.
We are here for such a time as this. Have you found your purpose? The answer is found in an old hymn …”turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His glorious face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and grace”.
